Kathy is named by UCLA, as one of the Top 10 Women's Health Advocates in America and is an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (LHD), from California State University, Channel Islands.

As a powerful advocate for Israel, Kathy speaks out for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference, with global leaders, including, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres and President Barack Obama. Kathy is a member of WIZO, and is honored by the ADL and the JNF.

Kathy is married to Gregory Olsen, an emergency room physician and CEO of a commercial fishing enterprise. Kathy and Greg have three children, Erik, Lily and Chloe. Kathy and her family live in Southern California.
