Burning candles can be a fire hazard. Before any candle is lit, carefully secure all candles in their holders. If the candles are a part of a decorative arrangement, make sure that the candles are placed a safe distance from any flammable material.

A candle will burn more slowly and evenly if its refrigerated before using.

Wrap the candle in plastic or foil before refrigerating to prevent wicks from absorbing moisture.

Candles should be stored flat (to prevent warping) in a cool, dark, dry place.

Votive candles must be in a container. They are made of a low melt wax. The tighter the fit the longer the candle will burn.
